A deficiency of β-carotene, which often occurs in the winter months, can lead to fertility problems in broodmares and stallions. Delayed ovulation, poor mating behaviour, poor sperm quality and a low fertilisation rate can be the consequences. Likewise, the need for β-carotene is increased during embryo development. Beta-Carotin Mare-Y-Mix has proven itself especially in the winter feeding of breeding horses.

Feeding recommendation

Offer approx. 20 g per 100 kg body weight and day with the crib feed. We recommend daily supplementary feeding for broodmares and stallions, especially in the period from December to April. Not suitable for mineralisation to cover requirements.
