The liver is the central metabolic organ of the organism. It is responsible for the production of vital proteins, for the utilisation of nutrients, for the production of bile and for the breakdown and excretion of metabolic products, medicines and toxins. Spoiled food, medicines, poisonous plants or pollutants from the environment can damage the liver and consequently endanger the horse's health. Brandon® plus hepatic protect supports the complex liver metabolism and improves the regenerative capacity and new formation of liver cells.

Valuable nucleotides and β-glucans from yeast cell walls in combination with high-quality amino acids provide the ideal building blocks for the formation of new liver cells. The milk thistle seeds also support the synthesis of liver cells and have a protective effect on the liver. In addition, bioactive bitter substances from the artichoke stimulate bile production and bile flow and consequently lead to improved fat digestion. Furthermore, natural antioxidants from grape seeds as well as vitamin E and essential fatty acids from linseed oil protect against damaging free radicals.

Feeding recommendation

Approx. 20 g per 100 kg body weight and day or as directed by your veterinarian. Brandon^® plus hepatic protect should be offered mixed with the crib feed.

Not suitable for mineralisation to cover requirements.

Feeding advice:
This complementary feed may only be fed to horses up to 1.4 % of the daily ration (incl. hay) due to the higher content of vitamins and trace elements compared to complete feeds.
