Brandon xs is suitable for horses with normal performance requirements that need a low-glycaemic feed. Brandon xs is the standard version. Due to a special processing procedure (lactofermentation), the easily digestible carbohydrates are β-glycosidically bound and thus not enzymatically broken down and absorbed in the small intestine as is usually the case, but the majority reaches the large intestine where they are fermented. As a result, even the standard version Brandon xs has a relatively low glycaemic index despite the grain content.

Feeding recommendation

500-750 g per 100 kg body weight and day divided into at least 3 portions. Hay ad libitum or as directed by the veterinarian.

1 litre corresponds to approx. 700 g

Feeding advice:
This complementary feed may only be fed to horses up to 66.7 % of the daily ration (incl. hay) due to the higher content of vitamins and trace elements compared to complete feeds.

Hipp Tip!
For older horses, hasty eaters or horses with teeth, chewing or gullet problems, we recommend enriching muesli with water or switching from muesli to pelleted feed, soaking it with sufficient water and feeding it as a mash.
