Brandon xl is formulated without conventional grain starch and has a moderate energy content. By replacing grain starch with grain germs, the glycaemic index is decreased. Brandon xl is particularly suitable for horses where a low content of easily digestible carbohydrates should be taken into account. In addition to bran, which is known for its insulin-regulating effect, high-quality oilseeds provide antioxidants and vital substances such as omega-3 fatty acids, which are also particularly important for stabilising insulin function.

Feeding recommendation

500-750 g per 100 kg body weight and day divided into at least 3 portions. Hay ad libitum or as directed by the veterinarian.

1 litre corresponds to approx. 700 g

Feeding advice:
This complementary feed may only be fed to horses up to 66.7 % of the daily ration (incl. hay) due to the higher content of vitamins and trace elements compared to complete feeds.

Hipp Tip!
For older horses, hasty eaters or horses with teeth, chewing or gullet problems, we recommend enriching muesli with water or switching from muesli to pelleted feed, soaking it with sufficient water and feeding it as a mash.

Please be sure to keep your horse hydrated.
