GIVING HORSES A BREAK
Training, competitions, transport, stress – high physical and mental demands on the horse. Most of a balancing time to relax and be a horse should be spent eating. Feeding time is horse time! As a supplement to sufficient basic feed, concentrated feed should also not trigger stress and should also encourage calm chewing and insalivation. However, many fibre-rich mixed feeds cannot cover the energy requirements of athletically active horses. The combination of highly solubilised, starch-modulated cereal flakes, energy-rich germs, oils and oilseeds with a rich supply of grasses, cereal grasses, alfalfa and meadow herbs creates a feed that covers both the horse's species-typical needs and its energy requirements.
STRENGTHEN GENTLY
Not only sport horses, but also young horses, leisure horses and seniors struggling with weight loss benefit from a feed rich in structure that provides energy and vital substances. A moderate energy supply and moderate grain contents of selected cereals nourish the horse without overloading the metabolism. Low starch and sugar contents ensure a low glycaemic index and a moderate insulin response. This protects organs and muscles. In addition, a rich supply of amino acids ensures optimal muscle supply. The targeted use of cereal bran also promotes digestion and stimulates intestinal peristalsis. Prebiotic polysaccharides stimulate the microbiome and thus improve nutrient digestibility. In addition, a selection of herbs provides secondary plant compounds that contribute to physiological gut function and strengthen the gut-associated immune system.
