FOR SPECIAL TYPES
Western horses, such as Quarter Horses or Appaloosas and other breeds originally bred for cattle work, are genetically endowed with higher muscle contents. They have more muscle mass relative to body weight than other horse breeds. The ration must therefore supply mainly muscle-relevant nutrients at a moderate energy intake. If the requirements are not met appropriately, this can lead to long-term deficiencies with early signs of wear and tear, e.g of the musculoscletal system.
MUSCLE-RELEVANT INGREDIENTS
NutriStar® provides high-quality proteins for breed-specific requirements. The energy supply is based on fermentable pectins, oleaginous fruits and oils. The low proportion of easily digestible carbohydrates protects the muscles from over-acidification. Diverse antioxidants such as vitamins, trace elements and secondary plant compounds support the muscle cells against oxidative stress and enable smooth energy burning. Especially for muscle building of young horses (all breeds) NutriStar® is suitable due to its muscle-relevant composition.
