The St. Hippolyt family mourns the loss of a wonderful and long-standing friend, supporter and mentor. Dr Wolfgang Melzer, a member of the Executive Board of St. Hippolyt Holding, sadly passed away shortly before his 93rd birthday on 15 November 2025.
We have lost a loyal companion, a wise counsellor who always had an open ear for the concerns of St Hippolyt, and, above all, a loyal friend who was characterised by his kindness of heart and his straightforward nature.
After a long and successful career as a solicitor, he took on yet another new challenge and brought his considerable professional expertise, empathy and great enthusiasm to our company. We always looked forward to his visits, as they provided us with valuable inspiration, both professionally and on a personal level. Dr Melzer was an inspiration in many ways and thus helped to shape the spirit of St. Hippolyt. We shall remember his inimitable sense of humour, his quick-witted comments and his fair judgement, as well as his inimitable twinkle in his eye.
Our thoughts are with his family. Dr Melzer leaves a great void.
We miss him.
